Radhika Sarathkumar has been ruling as the numero uno television actress and producer for the past three decades on top of her career as one of the leading movie heroines of the eighties. A few days back she shocked her fans by announcing that she is taking a break from television for an unspecified period of time that too when her serial 'Chithi 2' is currently in broadcast.

'Chithi' was the biggest hit in Radhika's career and fans even now call her lovingly so and there has been great curiosity as to who would be replacing her in the serial now. A section of the media reported Radhika's step daughter actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar will step into the iconic role.
