Old issues crop up amidst drama

Even as the latest drama involving the megastar evolved, another issue that had been a bone of contention between Chiranjeevi and Rajasekhar came to the fore today.

A couple of years back, there was some misunderstanding about the rights of the movie Ramana, which was later remade as Tagore in Telugu with Chiranjeevi playing the role that Vijaykant had played in the original.

Prodded by the channel, Jeevita recounted the incident when despite she and her husband securing the rights of the film, had to give them up as the megastar was keen on doing the film.

Both Jeevita and Rajasekhar said on the telly that had Chiranjeevi asked them directly, they would have given it to him happily.

But a third party got involved in the deal and they said they felt bad about the way the whole issue was handled.

At least now, they felt the megastar should respond like a responsible star. Luckily for them, Chiranjeevi apologized profusely for what his fans had done and requested them not to indulge in such violent acts ever again.
