Beneath the Megastar is a family man, the Shiva Sankara Vara Prasad his wife Surekha and children love a lot. As Chiranjeevi stands on the cusp of becoming a busy man once again (yes, he is going to do one film after another), the grandfather in him becomes nostalgic about how, as a father, he missed out on the fun of playing with his children.

In an interview to a Telugu daily, Chiru has said that while he was too busy to be play with his children (when Sushmitha, Charan and Sreeja were kids), the 9-year-long sabbatical (from 2008 to 2016) presented to him adequate time to spend with his grand kids.

The superstar savours those moments when his kids accompanied him to foreign locations when he traveled abroad. The quintessential family man has had the joy of working with his son, his producer, and daughter Sushmitha, his costume designer.
