After the entry of Megastar Chiranjeevi into politics, it seemed that the turf war between the two biggest mass stars of the Telugu industry, Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna, was over once and for all. Balakrishna, despite engaging himself in electioneering during the 2009 polls, continued to make films.
On the other hand, the possibility of Chiru making a comeback to films seemed very grim. Though he has announced his plans to do Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, but it does not mean that he will act in the movies year after year. He may well bid goodbye to films after his 150th film. In an interview to a daily, Chiranjeevi said that there is a difference between doing a film and being back to films.
Having said that, Balayya will confront with Chiru in the coming years. It is because both of them have an interest in making mass-oriented films and donning larger-than-life heroes, which, as politicians, they will find rewarding. With Balayya announcing his political arangetram, he is likely to choose stories that will help me connect with the masses.
Will Balakrishna time the release of his film with Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy? If so, who will emerge the winner?
