The Megastar Chiranjeevi-Koratala Siva project has been in the news ever since Mahesh Babu reportedly agreed to do a marathon supporting role in the big-ticket project, which is titled 'Acharya'. To this day, nobody has opened up on the collaboration officially, leaving the field open for speculation and media imagination.
Whether or not the 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actor is parachuted into the project, the charming superstar has cemented his image of being ever-so-ready to push for mind-blowing multi-starrers. He raised the bar with 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' in 2013 itself. The Chiru-Koratala project carries greater significance for a reason.
'SVSC' had a full-fledged role for Mahesh. But the Koratala film won't offer him such a place. Although his role will be quite crucial, it will still be called an extended supporting role.
Mahesh doesn't mind it. Since it is Koratala, he knows that the script will do complete justice to him. Also, it has the endorsement of Chiru, a superb judge of scripts.
Should Chiranjeevi go with Ram Charan for the role instead of Mahesh (unlikely, but you never know), it will disappoint many. However, Mahesh himself will have covered himself in glory because he has shown the large-heartedness to do a supporting role in a Chiru movie despite being one of the reigning stars of Telugu cinema.
