Megastar Chiranjeevi has described 'Acharya' as a socio-political entertainer. Speaking to The New Indian Express, the legendary actor has revealed an exciting piece of information about the Koratala Siva directorial.
"The film tells the story of a man who fights to conserve natural resources," the 'Sye Raa' actor says about the premise of 'Acharya'. As has been rumoured, the protagonist is an ideal man who is an ex-Naxalite in the story.
Doesn't the theme of "conserving natural resources" remind you of 'Janatha Garage', which too was a Koratala directorial? If NTR Jr was more of a gutsy environmental activist in that movie, Chiru is a social radical in 'Acharya'. That way, expect the film to adopt a different tongue.
What about Ram Charan playing an extended supporting role in the movie? Yes, he is on board. Chiru confirms that SS Rajamouli has allowed his 'RRR' actor to partake in 'Acharya'.
Produced by Charan and Niranjan Reddy, 'Acharya' has music by Mani Sharma.
