Megastar Chiranjeevi has thanked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. On Saturday, the 'Acharya' actor said that the new cinema ticket prices are beneficial for the progress of the Telugu film industry, on which the livelihood of thousands of workers depends.
In his tweet, the 'Bholaa Shankar' actor wrote that the CM has taken into consideration the views of film producers, distributors and theatre owners before announcing the new rates.
He added that Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Santosh Kumar listened to the concerns of the film industry in an empathetic manner.
Chiru's 'Acharya' will hit the screens on 4 February 2022. The actor is currently shooting for 'Bholaa Shankar' and 'Godfather'.
Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, the low ticket prices continue to be a thorn in the flesh. Several theatres are reportedly shutting shop awaiting a resolution to the ongoing crisis.
