Chiranjeevi Sarja, the popular Kannada film actor and husband of actress Meghna Raj, passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Sunday. The untimely death of the actor sent shockwaves across the film industry.

Chiranjevi Sarja had married actress Meghana Raj two years ago on May 29, 2018. Reportedly, the couple was eagerly expecting their first baby when the tragedy struck. Meghana is pregnant and in the second trimester.

On Sunday, the 39-year-old star complained restlessness and collapsed while speaking to his father on phone around 1.10 pm. Though he was immediately rushed to a Hospital, the actor died soon.

Chiranjeevi Sarja made his debut with the movie 'Vayuputra,' and had acted in 22 films.His recent movie was 'Shivarjuna'. The last rites will be held today.
