Chiranjeevi's nephew, Panja Vaisshnav Tej, is now officially a hero. He has started shooting for his debut film. Produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film's pooja was held on Monday in the presence of Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Allu Aravind, Naga Babu, Varun Tej, Niharika and Sai Dharam Tej. Sivaprasad and Vijaya Durga, the debutant's parents, were also present. Anjana Devi, Chiru's mother, was also there.
Speaking on the occasion, Chiru said that Mythri has been one of the most successful banners. "Mythri and Sukumar Writings encourage fresh talents. Sukumar's movie with Ram Charan, 'Ranghasthalam', was a blockbuster. I am happy that they have joined hands to bankroll Tej's first movie. He is lucky to have landed this rare opportunity so early in his career. I hope he makes the best out of this. I know the story of this movie. It has got so many interesting aspects. Like 'Rangasthalam', it has got rustic elements. Director of this movie, Buchi Babu, played a key role in writing 'Rangasthalam'," the 'Sye Raa' actor said.
Allu Aravind said that the makers are going to spend money without compromising on quality. "With Devi Sri Prasad's music, it will be a nice film," he said.
Sukumar revealed that Tej's name was finalized during the writing of the script. "We believe that he can do complete justice to the story. He is very simple like Kalyan garu. Chiranjeevi garu spent time on the story to bring it out in the right way. The heroine, Manisha Raj, is a Telugu girl. We considered so many other names before zeroing in on her," he added.
If music is by DSP, cinematography is by Shamdat. Editing is by Naveen Nooli. Art direction is by Ramakrishna-Mounika duo.
