Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to step into the shoes of a politician for the Telugu remake of Malayalam remake of Lucifer.

Mohanlal played the lead role in the Malayalam version as his character was titled Stephen Gattupally and Abram Qureshi. He plays a powerful politician and a mafia don as well.

So Chiranjeevi will also be playing the same roles and for this, going by the Telugu nativity, he will turn himself into Byreddy. The name itself gives a lot of power in the character and it is visible that he will be playing a politician from the Rayalaseema region.

Chiranjeevi is pretty much excited to be part of the film and begin shooting of the film. The film will be produced by Ram Charan Tej himself. In Malayalam, the film was directed by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran himself.

In Telugu, it is said that Mohan Raja has been approached to direct the film and that he has replaced VV Vinayak.
