Nandamuri Balakrishna has been in the news for reaching out to Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital in these harsh times. The 'Ruler' actor and Hindupur MLA today donated Rs 1.25 Cr towards tackling the COVID-19 outbreak. Of this, Rs 1 Cr (divided equally) will go to the Telugu States, while Rs 25 lakh will go to the Telugu film industry's special fund.
Thanking his colleague, Megastar Chiranjeevi (who leads the fund) tweeted out, "Thank you, dear brother Balayya, for donating Rs 25 lakh to #CoronaCrisisCharity and Rs 50 lakh each to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments. You proved that your generous heart goes out to the needy every time .ప్రతి కష్టసమయంలోను,ప్రజలను ఆదుకోవటం కోసం సినీ పరిశ్రమ ఒక్కటిగా ముందుకొస్తే,మీరెప్పుడు తోడుంటారు."
The CCC fund will go into funding the welfare activities of cine workers.
Balayya is scheduled to do his next movie with 'Legend' director Boyapati Srinu.
