It was a very difficult day for the Movie Artistes Association. It all began with Chiranjeevi saying in a speech at the MAA Dairy launch event that the outstanding and unresolved issues in the MAA (involving the Naresh camp and the Jeevitha-Rajasekhar camp) have to be resolved amicably.
Rajasekhar came up on the stage unannounced and started painting the other side as bad guys. He obliquely hit out at Chiranjeevi for not being a hero in real life. It may be noted that the Megastar's sympathies have been with the Naresh camp.
The 'Kalki' actor's behaviour sort of took Chiranjeevi by surprise. He got angry in no time and said that the weaknesses of the Association shouldn't be outed like this. "Do us elders have any value when you talk like this? I say that disciplinary action has to be taken (against Rajasekhar)," Chiru said.
At this, Krishnam Raju took the mike and assured action. "The MAA is a prestigious organization. Punishment will surely be meted out," he said.
Jayasudha and Dr. Mohan Babu tried to put a stop to Rajasekhar's speech, but they couldn't.
