Babu Naik, a Tollywood film journalist, was recently diagnosed with jaw cancer. The doctors at Apollo Hospitals advised him to immediately get his left jaw surgically removed to stop the spread of cancer. Since Naik is not financially sound, he sought help from Tollywood PROs and the media fraternity. The surgery would cost him Rs 3,50,000.
Senior journalist Prabhu and PRO-producer-distributor Suresh Kondeti worked in the background to get Megastar Chiranjeevi's timely help. Upon coming to know of Naik's situation, the 'Bholaa Shankar' and 'Godfather' actor immediately arranged the required finances and also spoke to the doctors to take care of the journalist.
Besides, Chiru also gave the patient's family a sum of Rs 50,000 toward meeting other expenses.
