"There was an issue with my median nerve, the medical examination revealed. I was told by Dr. Sudhakar Reddy at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad that it is called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It was a 45-minute surgery. I have known the doctor for many years. He is the son-in-law of veteran director Vijaya Bapineedu," the 'Bholaa Shankar' actor said.
Chiru apparently developed the syndrome owing to pressure on his arm. "I could recover completely 15 days after the surgery. The shooting of 'God Father' was given a break because of the medical issue," Chiru said.
The senior actor underwent the surgery after completing the shoot of 'Acharya', which is scheduled to hit the screens on 4 February 2022. Directed by Koratala Siva, the socio-political actioner also features Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde and Kajal Aggarwal.
