Megastar Chiranjeevi today said that 'Naatu Naatu' winning the Best Original Song Oscar is a proud moment. In the 1980s, he happened to participate in an Oscar event as a guest. "At the time, it was an amazing feeling. Today, a song that features my son Ram Charan has won an Oscar award. It is an indescribable and surreal moment," the 'Waltair Veerayya' actor said.
The actor of 'Acharya' expressed his opinion that promotions might have encouraged the voters at the Academy Awards to watch 'Naatu Naatu' and give it a chance. However, he added that the credit for the victory must go to the creation of the song rather than the promotions. According to Chiru, promotions can only play a role in prompting the voters who ultimately decide the winner.
He revealed that, just before the event commenced, Charan and Upasana called him up and sought his blessings. "I told them 'All The Best'." He admitted that there was still a 10% chance of the song not winning the Oscar.
