Chiranjeevi's film with young director shelved?

'Bheeshma' director Venky Kudumula's film with Megastar Chiranjeevi was confirmed in December last year. At that time, thanking the 'Acharya' actor, the filmmaker described it as the opportunity of a lifetime. The film was supposed to go on the floors by now.
But it looks like the project has been shelved once and for all. After Vijay Deverakonda's 'Jana Gana Mana', this news comes as another demise of a big-ticket project. The film was supposed to be produced by 'RRR' producer DVV Danayya on a grand scale.
Venky, whose first film was 'Chalo', must now be looking at collaborating with a medium-range actor depending on who is available. 'Bheeshma' hit the screens in February 2020. He must have been flooded with plum offers and any medium-range hero would have loved to work with him immediately. But he focused on the Chiru project, which became a non-starter for two years.
In the past, Chiru set aside 'Saaho' director Sujeeth, who was supposed to remake 'Lucifer'. 'Godfather' went to Mohan Raja eventually.
