Sai Dharam Tej didn't have it easy in the initial days of his career. His debut film was supposed to be 'Rey'. But it kept getting postponed because the producer of the film faced a severe financial crunch. In the meanwhile, he was approached by Dil Raju for 'Kerintha'. It didn't fructify for him. He was offered 'Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham' and he grabbed the offer. Unfortunately for the Mega hero, Sri Hari passed away after more than half of the film was completed. The production works were stalled and the film was reshot with Jagapathi Babu. This is when Sai Tej was seen as an "iron leg" by sections of Mega fans.
In his latest interview, the 'Prati Roju Pandage' actor has revealed that, at that time, a fan of Chiranjeevi called him up and asked him not to do any films. He asked Sai Tej to retire from films. "I told the fan I will give up if I am not up to the mark on the silver screen," the 'Chitralahari' actor narrated in his Film Companion interview.
The actor, who is referred to as the Supreme Hero, awaits the release of 'Solo Brathuke So Better'. Starring Nabha Natesh as the heroine, the film is scheduled to hit the screens on December 25. He will be completing Deva Katta's 'Republic', too.
