Chiranjeevi's caravan driver dies of COVID-19 complications

Megastar Chiranjeevi's Acharya has suspended the shoot amidst a spike in COVID-19 cases. The latest update is that there is more to it than meets the eye. A source close to the production unit told us that the driver of Chiranjeevi's caravan breathed his last due to COVID-19 complications last week and that is the reason the team had called off the shoot.

While it is also true that Ram Charan had made this decision after consulting Chiranjeevi, the death of the driver is what distressed the father-son duo a lot.

It is also being said that Charan is also worried after a couple of models and the film's villain Sonu Sood tested positive for coronavirus. He is equally concerned about the health condition of Pawan Kalyan and keeping all these aspects in mind, they had no choice but to postpone the shoot.

Except for 10-15 days of shoot, the entire shoot of Acharya has been wrapped up. So both Chiru and Charan aren't worried about the delay as the film has already backed out from Eid releases. The new schedule of the film will begin only after the night curfew restrictions were relaxed.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya also features Kajal Aggarwal, Sonu Sood and Pooja Hegde in pivotal roles.
