It is known that Megastar Chiranjeevi is teaming up with director Bobby (KS Ravindra) for his 154th film. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film will go on floors in late summer, soon after Acharya hits the screens on May 13.

Grapevine is that the film is a village drama and the makers have finalised Veerayya as its title. "Chiranjeevi plays a villager named Veerayya and the makers have decided to name their film after the actor's character. The film will go on floors in July and the team is planning to complete it in four-five months to ensure an early 2022 release," says a source close to the development.

Speculations were rife that Bobby has recently approached Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha for the female lead's role. However, the actress is yet to give her approval to it. The other cast and crew of Veerayya are yet to be finalised.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is also committed to work in the Telugu remakes of Lucifer and Vedalam. While Lucifer remake is being directed by Mohan Raja, Vedalam remake will be helmed by Meher Ramesh. Both these films will go on floors later this year with Lucifer remake planned for principal photography in April.

Bobby, on the other hand, has last directed Venky Mama starring Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya.
