Ramesh Chinnamula, a Telugu film journalist, has acquired a Ph.D. degree. He is the first among Tollywood film journalists to acquire such a degree. Since he had studied the course due to Chiranjeevi's motivation, he called on the 'Godfather' and 'Bholaa Shankar' actor and thanked him.
"Happy to be the first film journalist to get Ph.D. degree in mass communication in the history of Telugu cinema with the words and encouragement given by Megastar Chiranjeevi garu. Thank you very much for your love and affection, sir," Ramesh later tweeted, sharing pics of his first interview with Chiru and the most recent meeting.
The Ph.D. has been awarded by Telangana University under the supervision of Prof. K. Shiva Shankar. 'An Analytical Study on the depiction of social issues in Shyam Benegal Films: The Telangana Context' is the name of the research study.
Appreciating Ramesh, Chiru today said that the journalist has done so through sheer perseverance. "I am not only happy but also proud to have a doctorate to not only go to the highest level in film journalism but also to inspire so many people," the 'Acharya' actor said.
Ramesh remembered that he had interviewed Chiru during the making of 'Stalin' when he had just started out as a journalist. "The hospitality, support, and encouragement shown by him were great. I am indebted to the film industry for this opportunity," he added.
