The other day, members of the Telugu Film Journalists Association (TFJA) donated blood at Chiranjeevi Blood Bank in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, for the benefit of Thalassemia patients. This was in response to a call given by Megastar Chiranjeevi to one and all to donate blood at a time when there is a shortage of blood units due to lockdown.
The 'Sye Raa' and 'Acharya' actor has issued a statement appreciating the gesture of the journalists. "President Lakshmi Narayana garu, Vice-President YJ Rambabu garu and General Secretary Surender Naidu garu came forward with members of TFJA to donate blood at our Blood Bank. I sincerely appreciate their large-hearted gesture. This is encouraging and we feel energized when we come across kind acts like this one. God bless you all and your families. Thank you so much," Chiru said.
"We are also pleased to receive appreciation from Megastar," the Association noted, reacting to the message from the legendary actor.
Earlier this month, Chiru gave a pat on the Association's back for taking steps to help out its needy members in Covid times. "Heartily appreciate the brotherly spirit among film journalists, who are looking after their own people in every possible way," he said.
