Chiranjeevi announces oxygen banks in various districts

Last week, Megastar Chiranjeevi announced that he would be financing the setting up of oxygen banks in many towns across the Telugu States. The news is that the first oxygen plant is coming up in Guntur and Anantapur today.

The 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' actor has personally supervised the setting up of the first plant. A video clip in which the legendary actor is seen working closely with his team is out. He is supervising the cylinder dispatch activity.

Khammam and Karimnagar will follow on Thursday. Oxygen plants will be available also in five other districts later this week. "Mission begins. Let there be no deaths due to lack of life-saving oxygen," Chiru wrote.

The Oxygen Banks will be monitored by Ram Charan. The father-son duo will be mobilizing the manpower of their fans' associations. The President of the respective district fans association will look after the logistics. The Chiru-Charan duo has joined hands with their fans to save lives.

It has to be seen how the scaling up will happen and at what pace. Going by the official statement issued thus far, a lot of installation activity will be taken up in anticipation of the third wave.

Chiranjeevi's work on the oxygen banks is expected to strike the right chord with the general public as well.
