Shooting of the talkie part and canning of three songs was completed for 'Chinnodu' directed by Kanmani and jointly produced by Katragadda Lokesh Dutt and CV Srikanth on the banner of Polygon Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd, with Sumanth and Charmi in the lead. Post-production works of the film are under way for the film.

Producers say, 'There is a good response to the title 'Chinnodu' which is apt as per the story. The musical support by Ramana Gogula will be a highlight of the film. Director Kanmani moulded the story excellently on the celluloid. He tried to imbibe novelty in each scene with a tight screenplay. This will remain as the first-ever big budget film for hero Sumanth. We are planning to shoot two more songs in Europe soon. The audio of the film would be released in the first week of October through a popular company. We are planning to release the film in October by completing all the formalities at the earliest.'

Chandramohan, Brahmanandam, Ali, Venumadhav, Rajiv Kanakala, Suman Setty, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, MS Narayana, Rahul Dev, Raghubabu, Sivajiraja, Ramaraju, Vinayprasad, Surekha Vani, Balaiah and Rajasridhar are in the cast. Lyrics are by Suddala Ashokteja and Kandikonda, music – Ramana Gogula, cinematography – Jaswant, dialogues – Yalamanchi Sridhar, while story, screenplay and direction are by Kanmani.
