Chinna
Sundar C likes to do films with his heroes on a regular basis. He did a series of films with Karthik. Then he went to Prashanth. And now he is on to Arjun.
Following the success of Giri, director Sundar C and actor Arjun team up once again for their next - Chinna.
The movie stars Sneha as Arjun's ladylove. And as can be expected, it is a masala movie with the stress on humour and action.
Sundar C says the entire movie happens in Rameswaram.
Arjun plays a notorious rowdy who gets reformed after falling in love with Sneha.
"The sequences are narrated in a gripping manner with right emotions and fun. I hope it will appeal to the audience."
Sundar C usually gets the 'best' out of his heroines. Here too, he seems to have done that.
Sneha, known for her homely portrayals has taken to glamour in the movie while Kiran appears for an item number.
Chinna has stunt sequences, down-to-earth humour and romance, all at the right mix, Sundar C says and adds, popular baddies on screen like Mansoor Ali Khan and Ponnambalam have played comedy roles in Chinna.
Five peppy numbers by Imman would certainly make it big , he says, exuding confidence.
Interestingly within fifteen days of Tsunami disaster, the entire crew of Chinna was on the shores of Rameswaram to shoot the film. It was a thrilling experience for us then, Sundar says.
Also in the cast are Livingston, M S Baskar, Sulakshana, Vinu Chakravarthy, Rajesh and Aarthy.
The movie would be simultaneously released in Tamil and Telugu this month. In Telugu, it has been titled Koti.
Prasadh has handled cinematography, editing by Kasi Viswanathan, stunts by Thalapathy Dinesh and story, screenplay and direction by Sundar C.
