Singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada has been trolled on social media for speaking up in support of Renu Desai, Pawan Kalyan's ex-wife. It all began with Renu calling out those who are advising her against marrying again. And Renu hasn't liked the media describing those who are throwing misogynistic comments at her as "Pawan Kalyan's fans". In a post on Wednesday night, Renu said that she didn't intend to say that Pawan's fans are doing it in the first place.
Chinmayi Sripada, sharing Renu's Facebook post, said, "Somehow a woman has to apologize for her choices in life, clarify for other people`s assumptions. It will be nice if people took her advise. Time and again do men and women on social media find ways to slut shame a woman. Across India. Across the world, actually. In my case," the outspoken singer rightly tweeted.
This seemingly piqued many Pawan fans.
Rahul Ravindran, Chinmayi's supportive husband, took to Twitter on Thursday morning to support his wife and clarify that she immensely respects Pawan Kalyan. "For those trolling Chin, she has always been a huge admirer of sir for his honesty and how he wants to make a difference to society. Trust me, none of her statements were intended to say anything at all about sir.
He was not even a part of the equation. Why would she say anything hurtful about a man she respects? And for those 'abusing' her, go get a life. If you want a clarification, ask. Abusing is not OK. Sir is a thorough gentleman. I try to be like him. You should try it too. Love, peace and chill. Over and out," Rahul said.
