Singer Chinmayi who has been a victim of social media miscreants in the past is also facing a tough time with threats from the Suchithra Karthik Kumar twitter hacker who has targeted her for a long time.

Chinmayi has started a campaign "RAPE THREATS NOT OK" in Change.org insisting that twitter should go in for a large scale shutdown of accounts that promote threat against women. She has likened the attack on women to that of terrorism. The singer and voice artiste has stated that she has been threatened with tweets such as "You need to be raped", "I`ll throw acid on your face" and "I`ll make sure you never sing again" whenever she voices her opinion for a cause. Her campaign has garnered an impressive forty thousand signatures in 36 hours. Laudable effort.
