Chinmayi a leading singer and dubbing artiste in the Tamil and Telugu film industries is married to actor-director Rahul Ravindran. She gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl last year named Dripta and Sharvas.

Chinmayi has shared a shocking news that her children had a lucky escape in a car accident. She wrote on X "A piss drunk auto driver rammed against our car so badly that the frontal left side was smashed, at Abhiramapuram around 4 PM today. My kids were seated on the rear seat. And stepped out safe with our nanny. I didn’t realise the extent of damage from the photo as I returned from work from elsewhere until I saw it in person."

The outspoken celebrity singer added "Our regular vegetable vendor’s staff came out running to help. One really lovely gentleman seems to have given chase in his car to get the auto guy but couldn’t find him. I dont know who he is and I wish he always be happy, and his family be safe, healthy and happy. "

Chinmayi has also vented her frustration of the uselessness to go to the law "I have no mind-space to file a complaint, it is of no use anyway; am counting our stars that our kids are safe.
