Chinmayi Sripaada, who last year made sexual harassment allegations against Kollywood lyricist Vairamuthu, has been carrying her fight forward on social media. The playback singer has expressed disappointment over her failure to get justice even as Varaimuthu continues to rise and rise.
On Twitter, Chinmayi has made a valid demand on popular investigative Tamil magazine Nakheeran, which had alleged that she received a house in Bengaluru from the BJP in return for tarnishing the name of Vairamuthu. Her Tweet reads: "One year since Nakkeeran wrote that BJP gave me a house in Bangalore to name lovable Mr. Vairamuthu as the man who molested me. Still waiting for the keys from Nakkeeran since they even published a photo of a house and they seemed to know the address."
The singer further added: "One year since I officially lodged a complaint against Mr Vairamuthu. One year of being banned by Mr Radha Ravi’s Dubbing Union. One year of no investigation. One year of seeing everyone literally cheerlead and dance around ‘Open secrets’ These people deserve their molesters."
A social media user asked her why she did not file defamation against the magazine to which she replied with wry sarcasm: "Nakkeeran has enough support from other journalists and enough money to send on their 62637837373rd defamation. I don't."
