In recent times, clubhouses on Twitter are becoming famous as it has become a platform for them to join together and discuss topics that are common to them. However, these new innovations have also become places for people to air derogatory comments about celebrities.
Popular singer and Me Too activist Chinmayi is planning to take legal action against one Dr. Aravind Raja who is said to have stated on the clubhouse that she underwent treatment for mental disease at a facility in Kancheepuram and that her psychiatrist revealed the information to him. He had further gone to the extent of adding that he is aware of her current mental health. He had allegedly done so in support of lyricist Vairamuthu against whom Chinmayi and other women have levelled accusstions of sexual molestation.
Chinmayi, rightly took strong exception to the statement by the doctor and she slammed him on social media following which, Aravind Raja apologized to her which she did not accept. He then claimed to have called her and when she did not pick up, had spoken to her mother and rendered his regret for the same.
Chinmayi, again rightly refused to accept the apology of the doctor and has decided to lodge a formal complaint against him to the police, and also the higher authorities of the Medical Council of India. The decision of the singer cum activist has been welcomed by netizens.
Dr. Aravindh Raj went on clubhouse, claimed he was my doctor, said he knows my psychiatrist, knows my hormone levels (!), my reports, that I was admitted in a hospital and he would reveal I am ill.
