It's known that, recently, Kollywood's dubbing union terminated the membership of Chinmayi. The reason offered by the union is that the singer-dubbing artist had failed to pay the membership fee for two years.
Chinmayi has already suggested that she has been targeted only because she recently spoke against powerful elements through the Me Too movement.
On Saturday, the singer took on the dubbing union. "About 95 members of the Dubbing Union haven’t paid subscription fees since 2016. I have been singled out and terminated. I have also paid the Lifetime Membership Fee as of 11 Feb 2016 via Bank Transfer. Someday when these predators land at the very doorsteps of those who speak in support of these men, would they understand? I don’t know. I tried very hard to trust in the good and look at the positives. But I am truly done with it all," she wrote.
"The dubbing union officials ask for ‘apology letters’ if directors work with such artists and send strict instructions to managers to not employ us," she wrote, talking about what happens when the termination rules are not respected by filmmakers.
Exposing the Dubbing Union further, Chinmayi wrote, "There are 16 cases against the Dubbing Union. They keep liars and more liars to drum to their tunes else they would also be kicked out of work. Pathetic. Plus there is an FIR and a chargesheet filed as well a few months ago."
Here is the video. The statement that I didn’t pay the dubbing union subscription fee is false. ????https://t.co/1TVsdgeasM
