The representation of women in Hindi entertainment space has improved significantly in recent years and Neha Dhupia's role in the recently released thriller flick 'A Thursday' is an example of this. The actress brilliantly played the part of a tough and competent cop ACP Catherine Alvarez, while being pregnant with her second child.
Generally, it is considered tough for female actors to maintain work life balance after having kids but Neha believes that her children are a source of strength for her. In a recent media conversation, she stated, "Children have changed my life completely. There are these two human beings who are fully dependent on you and your husband. It’s almost like we are living in this magnetic field where we’re so attached to each other."
Talking about how her kids affect her career choices, Neha said, "I think creatively and logically. I’m like – what is this project going to get me – and depending on that, I make the decision. In a strange way, my children also help me make a career choice because I look at them and I’m like, ‘Is the job that’s being offered to me is so good that I can leave them at home and go,?’ You can say my standards are high now.”
