An elementary school student from Rhode Island tested positive for coronavirus after getting an autograph from Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert. The student had been to the Jazz and Celtics game in Boston last week, and five days after the game it was announced that Gobert was the first of the two NBA players to test positive for COVID-19.
There is no evidence to find if the child contracted the virus from Gobert, and it must be noted that another child from the same Rhode Island tested Coronavirus positive after traveling to the Bahamas. Celtics released a statement where they have expressed their doubts over the health of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell during the Boston game.
Following the Coronavirus outbreak, NBA had initially planned to continue the season without the presence of fans in attendance. However after players like Gobert tested positive, the management has decided to suspend the season for 30 days. Few days back, Rudy Gobert had touched the microphones and recorders of reporters, ridiculing the corona situation. The next day he tested positive and now he has apologized for his behavior on Instagram.
