Damarragidda Ravi, a 28-year old man from Chevella in Telangana, has burnt his wife Bhagya alive for having an extra-marital affair with Omer. The paramour is in hospital, having suffered deep burns when he was set on fire by Ravi. The shocking incident happened on Sunday morning.

As per a report, the husband had come to know of his wife's affair long back. He got the elders in the family counsel Bhagya to behave. Omer was told not to continue his mistake.

However, the lovers reportedly continued to commit adultery. Ravi was out on Saturday night when Omer secretly visited his house. He was caught in the bedroom with Bhagya when Ravi came back the next morning. In a fit of a rage, Ravi emptied a petrol bottle into the duo and set them afire.

Bhagya died on the spot. Her paramour has been taken to a hospital.

Cases against the offender have been registered under two relevant sections.
