Cheteshwar Pujara has been regularly compared to all time Indian great Rahul Dravid for his impeccable technique and temperament to play the long format of the game and score heavy runs. In 2002 under the captaincy of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid emerged out of his shadows on the Australian tour scoring three centuries in the series there making his mark.
Cheteshwar Pujara in the current Australian tour has taken to the grind like a fish out of water and has scored three tons as well living up to comparisons with "The Wall" Dravid. At the time of this writing Pujara is not out on 130 at stumps on day one looks set for another long innings on day two and beyond. He is also now sharing the number five spot with Kane Williamson with 17 hundreds for the most by a number 3 after Sangakkara (37), Ponting (28), Dravid (25) and Amla (20).
