Yesterday renowned Tamil Film Director Cheran sent a joint letter with director Va.Gauthaman for Jaya’s quick action in releasing the seven convicts related to Former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s murder. Today Cheran has sent an appreciation and Thanks giving letter to Tamilnadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha thanking her for her Government’s announcement to start Amma Thiraiyarangam (Amma Thetres) for screening moives at economic ticket fares and also give prominence to small budget films in screening, In his second letter, the Autograph director has thanked the Chief Miniseter for her major step which would serve multiple purposes of saving Tamil film industry from pirated dvds, offering affordable movie watching experience to people belonging to low income group, giving space for small budget film producers and directors to screen their films.
