Thunderous rainfall for Chennai tonight

The met department has stated that there are chances of rainfall along with thunder in Chennai and Puducherry. Owing to the southwest monsoon, regions around the ghat regions like Coimbatore, Nilgiris and Theni has been receiving high rainfall.
For the past few days Chennai also has been receiving rainfall during evening and night. This day also has been cloudy and a little salubrious post continuous rainfall. According to meteorological department, there is high chances of rainfall with thunder tonight as well.
In addition to this, fishermen have been advised not to enter sea as well as a precautionary measure.
