A man based in Chennai has been arrested after he posed as a recruiter and deceived over 600 women across the country into sending him their nude pictures.

The accused, identified as Clement Raj Chezyian, had demanded private pictures from women looking for front-office jobs across several states, promising them a job in return for the nudes. He contacted the women after looking through job portals and finding their numbers. He apparently claimed that it was important that the women shared their pictures as the body shape of the women was an important requirement to secure a front-office job at a five-star hotel.

An investigation was launched by the Miyapur police after a Hyderabad based woman had lodged a complaint. After 60 similar cases emerged from Hyderabad, the Cyberabad police decided to take action. The laptop of the accused was seized and the pictures of the women were found in a password protected gallery. Chezyian has been arrested from his residence in Chennai.
