There had been a huge spike in the number of Coronavirus positive cases in Tamil Nadu yesterday, with the highest single day count of 110 cases, taking the total number of cases in the state to a massive 234.

With Coimbatore and Nellai topping the list with 29 cases each, Chennai and Erode follow with 26 cases. Health officials are closely monitoring places visited by the people affected by the virus and are tracing the contacts as well to isolate them.

It was confirmed that two people who worked in a shop located in Phoenix mall, Chennai tested Coronavirus positive. As instructed by the health department, all the staff who worked in the shop were told to self isolate themselves, and people who visited the shop between March 10 and March 17 are also instructed to self isolate themselves.
