Tamil Nadu is in the terrifying grips of heavy rainfall and the capital Chennai has been the worst hit with most of the city submerged in knee deep water. The government officials headed by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin have been working round the clock to ensure that rescue and repair works are on track.
Videos of Inspector Rajeshwari carrying an unconscious man to shift him to the hospital has gone viral. Eyewitnesses say that the man was lying in cemetry at T.P. Chaithram in the Kilpauk area drenched to the skin by the overnight rains. He has been identified as Udhaya who works in the cemetry and had taken ill and had lost his consciousness.
Touching scenes of Rajeshwari carrying Udhaya on her shoulders and placing him in an auto to be shifted the hospital have been captured by the people in the area. Praises are showered on the female cop for her timely help. Udhaya is undergoing treatment.
