Director S.A. Chandrasekhar courted controversy when he said at an audio launch that people offering money at Tirupathi temple amounts to bribery to God and that if the almighty can help no one needs to study.  The Hindu Munnani had made a complaint to the Police Commissioner regarding this stating that SAC had hurt the sentiments of Hindus.

The Hindu Munnani went to court as no action was taken by the police and when the case came up for hearing today the judge ordered the police to file a case against S.A. Chandrasekhar if there are grounds to the complaint.
