Cyclone Michaung left lakhs of people stranded with heavy rains and floods in Chennai and its adjacent districts. Though the people are now recovering slowly, the situation is still bad for a lot of people as they lost their homes and closed ones in the floods. The government and volunteers are working together in relief activities.

We already brought to you that many celebrities like Vijay, Suriya, Karthi, Nayanthara, Harish Kalyan and others are helping the people through fan clubs and relief funds. Now, Actor Sivakarthikeyan has donated 10 lakh rupees to the relief fund of the Tamil Nadu government in this issue. This is now doing rounds on the internet.

Regarding this, Udayanidhi posted on his social media website:

"The DMK Government has been continuously carrying out various relief works following Michaung storm – heavy rains. As a support to this initiative of our government, many organizations - movements - individuals are funding the Hon'ble Chief Minister's public relief fund.

In this case, when he met us today, the actor-brother @Siva_Kartikeyan, handed over a check for Rs.10 lakh to us for the Chief Minister General Relief Fund. Love and gratitude to him. Let's work together - let's wipe out the misery caused by natural disasters! #CycloneMichaung" (sic).
