One can never forget the floods that happened and wrecked havoc in places in Tamil Nadu like Chennai and Cuddalore in 2015, that saw huge destruction and damage to loss of properties as well as lives and normalcy, and with the warnings of cyclones approaching, there are speculations running rife on another flood approaching many parts of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu Weatherman, known for his accurate predictions of the weather conditions of the state has made a recent post on his Facebook page, where he has posted that based on all weather models, a ridge is building which might block the cyclone, and there are two possibilities - either TN getting rains, or the cyclone fizzling out into the seas.

With the cyclone set to be stopped by the ridge, it is set to cause lots of rainfall wherever it crosses, and in case it crosses Tamil Nadu, it can cause floods or droughts, and this is said to be 60% favorable for Tamil Nadu. TN Weatherman also stated that if the cyclone crosses near Chennai, the rains will solve the existing water problem and lakes will be filled, though many trees might get damaged and fall.
