Chennai Central Railway station undergoes name change

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Chennai to kickstart his parliamentary elections campaign and also announce various schemes for the TN state. He has announced that the iconic Chennai Central Railway Station will henceforth be named MGR Railway Station.

The Chennai Central as it is known is one of the most popular landmarks of the metropolitan city over the years with thousands of passengers moving to all directions of India every hour. The Prime Minister also announced that the flight arrival and departure intimations will now be in Tamil also along with the existing English and Hindi.
