'Cheliyaa' censor done, release date final

Dil Raju's banner, who is bringing Mani Ratnam's awaited 'Cheliyaa', has announced that the romantic drama will be released on April 7. It has been certified with U. The AR Rahman musical is going to have a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil.

Starring Karthi in the role of a pilot fighter, it sees Aditi Rao Hydari as his love interest.

Venkatesh-starrer 'Guru' and RGV's 'Sarkar' were to release on the same day as 'Cheliyaa', but they both are not coming, with the former coming early on March 31 and the latter getting postponed.

'Cheliyaa' is clearly in an advantageous position with no major competitor at the BO.
