Chekka Chivantha Vaanam
The Mani Ratnam multistarrer has been titled 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' and Arun Vijay has joined the front line starcast of Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swamy, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Rajesh and Jyothika.
Arun Vijay replaces Fahadh Fazil who has opted out of 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' and the supporting cast includes Thiagarajan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha. The mega project is produced by Lyca Productions with A.R. Rahman composing the music, Santhosh Shivan handling the camera and Sreekar Prasad the editing. The film goes on floors from Monday the 12th of February and is expected to release in the last quarter of this year.
The team includes three time National Award winner Sharmishta Roy who takes care of production design and this is her third film with Mani after 'Ok Kanmani' and 'Kaatru Veliyidai'. Sivakumar Ananth who has co-written 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' and is also serving as the executive producer has been an associate of the legendary director for the past twenty years since 'Dile Se'. The Creative Producers team has Bejoy Nambiar the director of 'David' and 'Solo' along with Kiran. Eka Lakhani the costume designer has worked with Mani Ratnam in 'Kadal', 'Ravanan' 'Ok Kanmani' and 'Kaatru Veliyidai' besides 'Iru Mugan' and '24' and has also starred as Arvind Swamy's wife in 'Kadal'.
Dileep Subbarayan who is on a roll in recent times is the stunt choreographer and 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' is said to have many high octane action sequences. 'Anjali' and 'Sathi Leelavathi' child actor turned audiographer Anand Krishnamoorthy will work on the sound while Bollywood makeup artist Serina Texiera is on board as well.
'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' is touted to be a powerful story about the gangster brothers played by Arvind Swamy, Arun Vijay and Simbu and their war against a cop portrayed by Vijay Sethupathi. The film goes on floors from Monday the 12th of February and is expected to release in the last quarter of 2018.
