While we have seen enough duplicates of Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and SRK, it’s rare to see lookalikes of politicians. But the team of ‘Bullett Raja’ were in for a surprise when such thing happened when they were hunting for certain cast for the film.

The buzz is that, ‘Bullett Raja’ stars an actor who somewhat resembles Samajwadi Party leader, Amar Singh! We also hear that the film's plot revolves around the nexus between politicians, industrialists and the police in the state.

When asked the director Tigmanshu Dhulia about the resemblance he said, Yes, we realised that this character who plays the role of a politician in the film looks like Amar Singh, but the role is not inspired by Singh’s life.

When we were conducting auditions for the role, we found this artist, Gyaneshwar Mishra, from Lucknow, who looked like Amar Singh. Since it was the role of a politician, we thought it would be interesting to cast him since anyone who sees him is reminded of Amar Singh, even though his character in the film has nothing to do with him, he added.

‘Bullett Raja’ is set against the backdrop of West Bengal and is based on a mafia dealing with the underworld and sees Sonakshi and Saif Ali Khan in the lead pair. A Fox Star Studios presentation, the film releases on 29th November.
