In the trailer for Nithiin's 'Check', director Chandrasekhar Yeleti drives home the point that the game of chess is a motif we can't afford to miss if we want to have clues early on. Nithiin plays a prisoner who has been sentenced to death. Is he a traitor? Is he an intelligent man wronged by the system? Why the metaphor of chess? Answers to these questions will be found when the film hits the screens on February 26.
Producer V Anand Prasad of Bhavya Creations seems to have ensured good production values, as the prison and the action shots suggest. Sampath Raj plays a cop who manages to provoke Rakul Preet Singh and trouble the male lead.
If there is a love track between Nithiin and Priya Prakash Warrior, there seems to be more than what meets the eye as far as the unseen villain is concerned.
Posani Krishna Murali, Murali Sharma, Tripuraneni Saichand, Harshavardhan, Rohit Pathak, and Simran Chowdhury are part of the cast. Music is by Kalyani Malik, while the cinematography is by Rahul Srivastava.
