Chatrapathy

Sarath Kumar, whose last venture Gambheeram failed to make any impact at the box-office, while his Hey is yet to see the light of the day, now banks all his hopes on his Deepavali release Chatrapathy.

He seems to have taken a safe route to taste success this time. He has joined hands with producer Babu Raja with whom he gave the hit Ararsu about an year ago.

Babu Raja, a one-time production executive with Super Good Films R B Choudhary, is introducing a new director Sri Mahesh in Chatrapathy.

Sri Mahesh, who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues besides wielding the megaphone says,"Chatrapathy is an action-packed story with a relevant message for the audience. The movie is all about a man of integrity, who fights for the cause of the society".

Babu Raja says, "I introduced director Suresh in Arasu. The movie with Sarath Kumar in the lead collected huge revenue at the box-office. Now, I am confident that we can recreate the magic again in Chatrapathy. The fiery dialogues on social evils would be the movie's highlight".

"The movie is slated for release this Deepavali", he says and adds, "every frame in the movie will evoke applause from the audience".

"Action-packed movies are the order of the day. With Sarath Kumar known for his stunt sequences playing the lead, Chatrpathy would certainly click well at the box-office", Babu Raja says.

Actress Nikitha, who made her debut in Kurumbu has been cast opposite Sarath Kumar, while Vadivelu and Illavarasu have taken up the role of comedians in the movie.

Also in the cast are Pyramid Natarajan, Rajesh, Ravichandran, Illavarasu, Karikalan and Madan Bob.

S A Rajkumar has scored the music with lyrics by Arivumathy and Pa Vijay.

The production house is also running a unique contest wherein film-buffs who guess the role being played by Sarath Kumar in the movie before its release and write to them, would be given a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
