Chatrapathi remake: Rains wash away set worth crores of rupees

The Hindi remake of 'Chatrapathi' has run into rough weather. The producers of the film have made losses to the tune of crores of rupees due to the recent incessant rains in Hyderabad.

Director VV Vinayak, in association with his art director, had worked on erecting the set in March and April. Pen Studios spent crores of rupees on it. The makers chose the 'Rangasthalam' village set location for the same.

Everything went well until the second wave raged on like anything from mid-April. Due to the fearsome situation, the makers called off the shoot. They were planning to finally start the shoot but the rains meanwhile have damaged the set.

Now that film shoots are expected to take off in July, a village set will be erected once again.

The Bollywood actioner is being bankrolled by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios, who is seeking to mount the mass masala flick in a big way. The producer is counting on the Midas Touch of Vinayak to see the film through. This one is Bellamkonda's second outing with the 'Tagore' director. The 'Alludu Adhurs' actor is also committed to reprising Dhanush in the Telugu remake of 'Karnan'.
