When there is flood of remakes from Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages to Kannada off late here is one of the Kannada films ‘Charminar’ a box office successful film going to Telugu. Recently ‘Lucia’ made a big name in other languages. Govindayanamaha remake in Telugu was successful.

‘Charminar’ Kannada film starring lovely star Premkumar and Meghana Gaonkar directed and produced by R Chandru was supposed to star Naga Chaitanya in the lead role. Now that is not happening. Sudhir Babu (relative of Mahesh Babu) comes in his place with Nandita taking on Meghana Gaonkar role.

The Telugu remake of Kannada ‘Charminar’ is titled as ‘Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarani’ that went on the floor at Annapurneshwari studio in Hyderabad on May 27.

Meanwhile director Chandru making debut in Telugu as director says only the thread of ‘Charminar’ is retained and it is out and out commercial formula film he says.

As a matter of fact ‘Charminar’ suits Andhra Pradesh very well because of the historic ‘Charminar’ is situated in the state capital Hyderabad.
